(Video) 9 Days Later, CCTV Reveals How 9-Years Old Girl Set Fire on Ebeano Supermarket in Abuja

Nine days after the unfortunate incident that saw the burning of Ebeano Supermarket Lokogoma, in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, footage captured in a closed-circuit television has revealed how a 9-years girl set fire to the multi-million naira shopping centre.

It was reported on Saturday 17 July 2021 that the supermarket which was razed by inferno billowing outlasted more than one day.

The recording from the footage showed that the suspect was seen walking into the supermarket along with two suspected female accomplices.

The young girl put on a black top and a pair of jeans could be seen gaiting toward a section of the supermarket where gas cylinders and electric cookers were placed. Getting there, she picked up a lighter and lit one of the gas cylinders there, and then walked away.

Moments later, the three females were seen outside where sympathizers had gathered. In the footage, one of them was seen smiling.

In another video showed where the young suspect and two others were questioned.

In her responses to the police investigators, she said she came to the shop with her mum and sister. “We went to the market first before going to the shop. My mummy was with my sister at the drink session,” she told investigators.
